Planner’s Comments

I think we were unlucky enough to get the wettest 3 hours of the day for the event, so thank you for braving it. The rain undoubtedly reduced the entry with notably fewer competitors on the Orange and Yellow. The courses were well received despite the heavy underfoot conditions slowing a few of you down. I wonder if we should be printing maps on waterproof paper on a regular basis now given how foul the weather has been recently, I’m sure it would’ve enhanced today’s experience.

Sadly Andy’s coaching clinic didn’t have any takers, but hopefully a pacing exercise will appear at another SOG. As ever events don’t happen without some valuable helpers, my appreciative thanks to Les Hooper for OCADing the courses, Andy Bridge,Jane&Chris Lambert for SI computing, Claire Teesdale on car parking, Ali Weller on “meet and greet” and control collecting, Ian Ditchfield and Ruth Rhodes for control collecting. Also thanks to the “Jarvis boys” young ones and older for registration, controlling and control collecting. Now to dry off!
